She is a gifted diagnostician, and has extensive experience in the role food sensitivities play in chronic illness. She has also worked extensively as a licensed clinical social worker in the past and draws on this experience in her practice.
She graduated with a Masters Degree from the University of Chicago, and worked as a licensed clinical social worker and therapist for several years in ICU and transplant programs in Chicago area hospitals before attending medical school at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She trained in the rural medicine program at the University of Wisconsin in Madison and Baraboo before completing her residency in family medicine at MacNeal Hospital, one of the oldest and most highly respected family medicine residency programs in the Midwest.
Dr. Weiler began her study of Functional Medicine with the IFM in 2010. She completed their rigorous course of study over five years and passed the IFM certification exam in Spring 2015. Her mission and passion is to practice Functional Medicine, which helps her patients define the actual cause of their illness and address its roots rather than only medicating the symptoms. Her years of study and practice led her to develop the Well Life wellness programs.
